Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking an unarmed Security Guard to patrol hospital grounds and buildings, ensuring safety and protecting property. You will monitor entrances, inspect IDs for restricted areas, and report any suspicious activity to supervisors or management.

The role requires strong professionalism when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors, and adherence to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. Applicants must be able to work day or night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work efficiently and effectively at any time of the day or night, including irregular and unscheduled hours, after sufficient rest.
• Must comply with STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and reporting suspected compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital, building or office grounds to defend against damage, theft or harm, performing duties unarmed.
• Inspects identification of persons before entering restricted areas.
• Observe activity at a post and report unusual activities to supervisor or facility management.
• Perform routine monitoring and reporting duties and follow guidelines for observing and reporting incidents.
• Interact with public and staff with courtesy and professionalism.

Education

High School diploma, GED or Higher Education

Texas Department of Public Safety Non-Commissioned Security Officer License

Texas Operator's and/or Commercial Driver's License
