Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is seeking an Ultrasound Technology Program, Lab Instructor for our San Jose, CA campus. The role involves hands-on lab supervision, student mentoring, and collaboration with the Program Director to ensure high-quality ultrasound education on campus.

Responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment, developing scanning protocols, grading student performance, and providing tutoring to support student success in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and RVT certification required.
• Minimum 3 years as a staff sonographer in an imaging facility.
• Experience in teaching or mentoring students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of lab supplies, equipment, AV materials, and manuals.
• Monitor lab equipment maintenance and ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
• Provide technical support to Program Director and Faculty.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate lab experiences for students.
• Assist faculty in developing scanning protocols and grading student performance.
• Document student advising and provide tutoring sessions as directed.
• Prepare competency checklists and complete required paperwork.

Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.Gurnick Academy is currently seeking an Ultrasound Technology Program, Lab Instructor at our San Jose, CA Campus. This role will interact directly with Faculty and Students based on the needs of the Program Head.
