Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking an ultrasonographer to prepare patients and perform routine ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.

You will produce high-quality images, present findings with relevant comparisons, and ensure patient safety and infection control standards. The role involves supervising students and supporting cross-training programs, with rotating on-call weekends.

Qualificações

• Completion of accredited ultrasound program or MWHC/MIF cross-training program.
• AHA BLS provider required.
• ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire.
• If not ARDMS (OB/GYN) registered at time of hire, registry required within six months of hire.
• If not ARDMS (VT) registered at time of hire, registry required within 12 months of hire.
• ARRT (R) registered in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with applicable EMR, Radiology, and information systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming orders and obtaining histories.
• Performs ultrasound examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment and follows infection control standards.
• Supervises and instructs ultrasound students and cross-training participants.
• Monitors inventory and supports billing/documentation processes.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
