Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Urology to join our outpatient team in Brooklyn/Manhattan. You will perform urology-related ultrasound exams and communicate preliminary impressions to on-site urologists.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following lab protocols, expediting emergent tests, assisting with outpatient procedures, and keeping a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Urology ultrasound experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of urology related ultrasound exams including renal, bladder, prostate and small parts in an outpatient setting.
• Prepare preliminary written impressions and communicate results to on site urologists.
• Maintain and document regular equipment maintenance.
• Review and execute current lab protocols and assure emergent tests are expedited.
• Assist doctors with outpatient procedures/biopsies.
• Follow and understand all radiology policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
