Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking a Float Ultrasound Technologist for Urology to perform ultrasound exams (renal, bladder, prostate, small parts) in outpatient settings across Brooklyn/Manhattan. You will prepare impressions and relay results to on-site urologists, while maintaining equipment and following lab protocols.

The role requires ARDMS AB certification, graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, and at least 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent.
• ARDMS AB certification required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Urology ultrasound experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of urology related ultrasound exams including renal, bladder, prostate and small parts in an outpatient setting.
• Prepare preliminary written impressions and communicate results to on-site urologists.
• Maintain and document regular equipment maintenance.
• Review and execute current lab protocols and assure emergent tests are expedited.
• Assist doctors with outpatient-related procedures/biopsies.
• Follow and understand all radiology policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.

Education

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent

ARDMS AB certification
