A leading healthcare institution is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer to perform diagnostic medical sonography across various patient demographics. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, documenting findings, and assisting in specialized procedures. Candidates should have completed an approved sonography course and hold relevant ARDMS registrations. The position is flexible and requires adaptability in a busy environment.
The function of the Ultrasound sonographer position within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to perform all phases of diagnostic medical sonography. These procedures include, but are not necessarily limited to, abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, neurologic, small parts, native and transplant renal and liver Doppler, and pediatric ultrasound procedures. The ultrasonographer promotes OHSU’s mission by delivering high-quality, cost-effective, family-oriented service. This position fosters a collaborative environment by integrating education, research, and clinical leadership. Sonographers work with infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients across locations including Marquam Hill, South Waterfront, and Beaverton (Westside).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This position is flexible, with no guaranteed schedule or hours. It is not eligible for benefits. The environment is busy, with frequent interruptions, multiple demands, and continuous interactions with patients and medical professionals. Exposure to chemical solutions and human tissue/fluids is required.
