Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings with ARDMS certification within one year. The role requires teamwork, accurate data collection, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will operate equipment, assist radiologists, and ensure proper documentation and image quality for PACS review, while maintaining inventories and supporting the department’s standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Radiological Technology program.
• Registration required by ARDMS within one year of hire date.
• Preferred: Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures in inpatient or outpatient settings in accordance with standards.
• Gather clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete documentation and billings promptly.
• Position and transfer patients and assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and transmit exams to PACS for radiologist review.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
• Follow Universal protocol per hospital policy.
• Maintain inventory and assist with supplies procurement.
• Monitor and ensure equipment is in good working order and supplies available.
• Sterilize probes according to policy; assist with other duties as needed.
