Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking a Sonography/Ultrasound Technologist to support the Veteran community at 1051 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. This full-time-like role offers day shifts and on-site work, with a starting pay of $55.00+ per hour for qualified candidates.

You will perform a wide range of ultrasound studies, operate and position equipment, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and timely reporting. VA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
• License to practice Radiologic Technology in the U.S. or DC.
• RDMS certificate in abdomen, breast and/or obstetrics/gynecology.
• Experience performing ultrasound studies across multiple areas included in the posting.
• RVT certificate is a plus; BLS/ACLS trained.
• Prior VA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of ultrasound procedures, including complex exams.
• Conduct independent portable ultrasounds in ICU, ER, OR and Medical Center when needed.
• Work evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled or on-call.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize scan quality.
• Record and process images for radiologist interpretation.
• Notify radiologist of emergent or abnormal findings and share preliminary results.
• Explain procedures to patients and assist with patient movement and positioning.
• Coordinate patient transport to and from the Ultrasound department.
