Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital in Inverness, FL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for PRN per diem work. You will perform routine diagnostic sonographic procedures with care, compassion and professionalism, supporting radiologists and the imaging team.

Qualifications include general ultrasound experience (abdomen, OB/GYN) and/or vascular; Allied Health degree or a 12‑month CAAHEP ultrasound program; ARDMS registry within six months; and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• General ultrasound (abdomen, OB/GYN) and/or vascular experience preferred.
• Allied Health degree (2-year program) or completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-approved Ultrasound Technology program.
• Valid ARDMS registry within six months of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
• Obtain high-quality images.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and radiologist regarding findings, histories and test results.

Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - PRN

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently accepting applications for an Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer, you will perform routine diagnostic sonographic procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures

• Obtain high-quality images

• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and radiologist regarding any findings, patient histories and test results as appropriate

Qualifications

• General ultrasound (abdomen, OB/GYN) and/or vascular experience preferred

• Allied Health degree (2-year program) or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-approved Ultrasound Technology program

• Valid ARDMS registry required within six (6) months of hire

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
