AdventHealth is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, verify patient information, and optimize imaging for radiologist interpretation. You will document findings in EMR/PACS and educate patients about procedures, maintaining comfort and privacy.
Responsibilities include collaboration with radiologists, adherence to infection control, and ensuring timely completion of exams.
Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy required.
- Ability to read and interpret imaging protocols accurately.
- Experience with patient history gathering and exam preparation.
- Proficient with EMR systems and documentation standards.
- Strong communication with patients across ages.
Responsabilités
- Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
- Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness prior to scanning.
- Positions patients and adjusts transducers and factors to optimize images.
- Maintains EMR/PACS documentation accurately and timely.
- Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and privacy.
- Collaborates with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
