Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Stafford, VA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform routine ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role requires certs (ARDMS/ARRT) or registry by hire, and includes teaching/supervision of students.

You will work Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm with on-call and holiday rotation, ensuring high-quality imaging, documentation, and collaborative patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited program in ultrasound or MWHC/MIF cross-training program.
• AHA BLS Provider required.
• ARDMS (AB or OB/GYN or VT) or ARRT (S) required at time of hire; registry within 12 months if not initially registered.
• Registry in Abdomen (AB), Vascular (VT), and Pediatric Sonography (PS) preferred.
• ARRT (R) registered in Radiologic Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming orders and evaluating history.
• Performs ultrasound examinations on all patient age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies and standards to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains a safe environment and follows infection control standards.
• Interacts with students and supports ultrasound cross-training programs.
• Monitors inventory and records data for billing and operations.
