Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Stafford, VA is seeking a Radiology Ultrasonographer to prepare patients, perform ultrasound exams, and deliver high-quality images under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will present results with related studies for interpretation and support timely diagnoses.

You will work Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm to 1:00am with on-call and holiday responsibilities, and participate in performance improvement activities while mentoring students and cross-training

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited program in ultrasound or cross-training program.
• AHA BLS Provider required.
• ARDMS/ARRT certification at time of hire or within 12 months.
• Experience with EMR and radiology information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by confirming orders and histories.
• Perform ultrasound examinations across patient age groups and clinical conditions.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and equipment standards.
• Provide supervision and instruction to students and cross-training staff.
• Document procedures and ensure accurate billing and records.
• Participate in performance improvement activities for the Ultrasound department.
