Bright Light Medical Imaging in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for Saturdays. The role is onsite with a part-time schedule 8am-4:30pm or 5pm. The ideal candidate is ARDMS/RVT registered with experience in abdomen/small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging, and CPR-BLS certified.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and/or RVT registration required or preferred.
• Proficiency in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular.
• Breasts experience preferred.
• CPR-BLS Certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination.
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties and explaining imaging process.
• Carefully position patients to obtain correct imaging.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and stock of supplies.
• Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures.
• Document ultrasound services in the patient's chart.
• Communicate medical data to staff and physicians.
• Provide education and direction to new technologists.
• Perform all ultrasound imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Frequent lifting/movement up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions.

What We Are Looking For:

Ultrasound Technologist, Part Time

Location: Onsite Arlington Heights

Days/Hours: Saturday 8am-4:30pm or 5pm

Overview Of Key Responsibilities:

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
• Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
• Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
• Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
• Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
• Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
• Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

• Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology
• Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary

• Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care

Education, Experience & Requirements:

• ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
• Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently
• Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts,OB/GYN, Vascular
• Experience in Breasts, preferred
• CPR-BLS Certification
