Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time onsite role. You will document medical histories, operate and sterilize ultrasound equipment, and ensure patient comfort while obtaining accurate imaging results.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, image documentation, collaborating with physicians, and training new staff. ARDMS/RVT certification and CPR-BLS are required, with competitive benefits and growth

• ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently.
• Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular.
• Experience in Breasts.
• CPR-BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination.
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties and explaining imaging process.
• Position patients to obtain correct imaging.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and supplies.
• Record data in the patient's chart and communicate findings to staff.
• Provide education and direction to new technologists.
• Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

Experienced Ultrasound Technologist, Full Time

Location: Onsite Arlington Heights

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday Hours Vary Between 6:30am-4:00pm

Overview of Key Responsibilities:

• Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
• Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
• Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
• Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
• Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
• Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
• Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician
• Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
• Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
• Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

• Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations, working in fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized
• Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology
• Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary
• Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions
• Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care

Education, Experience & Requirements:

• ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
