Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and support patient care. The role requires selecting transducers, documenting results, and ensuring patient comfort and safety on site in a hospital environment.

You will assist with ultrasound-guided biopsies, maintain equipment, mentor staff, and uphold high standards of care while following safety protocols. Strong communication and independent work are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or vocational training in ultrasonography.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• RDMS registration within 6 months of hire/promotion/completion of training.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures using prescribed methods.
• Select transducer and adjust equipment according to organ and exam parameters.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Document test data and patient information in the computer system.
• Assist physician with ultrasound-guided biopsies or invasive procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment.
• Monitor, record and communicate test results using the documentation system.
• Apply age-appropriate care and maintain safety standards.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.
• Perform high-level disinfection and adhere to standard precautions.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Make independent decisions with tact and professionalism.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• The Ultrasound Technologist conducts procedures to provide data to assist in the diagnosis of patients. The position's tasks and responsibilities include:
• Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique.
• Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to organ to be examined, depth of field and other specifications of test.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• Keys test data and patient information into computer to maintain record of test results.
• Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment.
• Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.
• Assists with transporting patients.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity and a positive attitude. Initiative and judgment required in assuming responsibilities.
• Performs high-level disinfection.

What qualifications you will need:

Education

• Technical degree or vocational training

Experience

• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.

Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications

• Registered by R.D.M.S. in Abdomen or Ob/Gyn within 6 months of hire, promotion or completion of training program.
• Registered by R.D.M.S (RVT) or (RVS) by C.C.I.
• BLS from HCA approved vendor required.
