Job summary

Medical City Denton is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform quality ultrasound procedures, follow physician orders, and provide exceptional patient care. The role includes call/holiday coverage and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of procedures.

The candidate should be RDMS registered or eligible, with BLS certification and familiarity with radiation safety. This position supports the hospital’s commitment to compassionate care and accuracy in imaging services.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred.
• Must be registered/eligible by RDMS in Abdomen or Ob/Gyn within 6 months of hire; if not certified, must obtain within 1 year.
• BLS certification required by an HCA approved vendor.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality ultrasound procedures following physician orders.
• Maintains patient care quality and exceptional customer service.
• Participates in call/holiday coverage and department initiatives.
• Maintains competencies and current knowledge of ultrasound procedures.
• Contributes to equipment QC and documentation.
• Ensures radiation safety practices.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs quality Ultrasound procedures, follows physician’s orders, practices quality patient care, exercise excellent customer service, participates in call/holiday coverage, maintains competencies and current knowledge of procedures, participates in equipment Q.C., completes all records and documentation, practices radiation safety, involved in department initiatives.

What qualifications you will need

• Prefer at least 1 year experience
• Must be registered/eligible by R.D.M.S. in at least one of the following: Abdomen, Ob/Gyn within 6 month of hire. Additionally, the associate must be registered/eligible by R.D.M.S (RVT) or (RVS) by C.C.I. If associate does not hold advanced certification, associate shall obtain within 1 year of hire/promotion or completion of training program.
• BLS certified by HCA approved vendor.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
