Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a busy hospital setting. You will deliver high-quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment and perform surgery and portable exams as needed.

You will follow physician orders, document exams in Meditech, verify images in PACS, and adhere to quality control and HLD procedures for equipment. Documentation of patient history and lab values is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• RDMS certification.
• RDMS-Abdomen Specialty within 1 year of start date.
• RVT certification within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
• Ensure delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• Follow physician orders, document completion of exams in Meditech, and verify images in PACS.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
• You will be responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• You will demonstrate the ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
• You will accurately follow physician orders, document the completion of the exam in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
• You will follow proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.
• You will demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patient’s history, including lab values.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• (RDMS-AB) RDMS Abdomen Specialty must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
