Job summary

ARA Diagnostic Imaging in Austin, TX is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform and maintain QC on ultrasound systems and to conduct procedures as prescribed by physicians.

You will assist radiologists in image-guided procedures, prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging. CPR certification and ARDMS registry (or eligible) are required or pursued within one year.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound technology principles and procedures.
• Ability to independently conduct routine and specialized radiologic tests.
• Analytical skills to review results for accuracy and quality.
• CPR certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
• ARDMS registry or eligible with 1-year to obtain registry.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain monthly quality control on ultrasound systems as required by credentialing organizations.
• Performs ultrasound procedures as prescribed by a physician and ensures technical image quality.
• Assist radiologist in image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and position for proper viewing.
• Ensure safety procedures and universal precautions at all times.
