Job summary

Austin Radiological Association (ARA Diagnostic Imaging) is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform and refine ultrasound examinations in a collaborative, outpatient setting in the Greater Austin area.

The role requires completion of an ultrasound technology program, ARDMS eligibility or registry, and CPR certification. You will work under the radiologist, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety while supporting cross-training and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ultrasound technology program.
• Ability to independently perform routine and specialized ultrasound tests.
• Current CPR certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
• ARDMS registry or eligibility with plan to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain monthly quality control on ultrasound system as required by credentialing organizations.
• Performs ultrasound procedures as prescribed by a physician and ensures technical quality of images.
• Assist radiologist in image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and ensure safety and proper view of the area.
