A Radiology Partners practice—ARA Diagnostic Imaging—invites an Ultrasound Technologist to join the Austin team. You will perform ultrasound procedures, assist radiologists, and help maintain imaging quality across outpatient centers in the Greater Austin area.

Qualifications

• Ultrasound technology training program completed.
• Experience to independently conduct routine and specialized radiologic tests.
• Analytical skills to review results and document medical records.
• Current CPR certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
• ARDMS registry or eligibility to obtain within 1 year of employment.

Responsabilités

• Perform monthly quality control on ultrasound system as required by credentialing organizations.
• Perform ultrasound procedures as prescribed by a physician with proper technique.
• Assist radiologist in image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, hysterosonograms).
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures; escort, instruct, position and ensure safety.
• Review previous exams and referrals; communicate referrals to radiologist; may administer medication as prescribed.
