Job summary

Based at Sacred Heart Medical Center-Spokane, the role supports OB-related procedures and clinical collaborations, in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• ARDMS prerequisites for RDMS examination.
• National Registered Technologist - Sonography or ARDMS certification at hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association at hire.

DescriptionThe registeredUltrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Completion of education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography OrUpon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyUpon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience inassisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
• Experience with electronic medical databases, like Epic.
