Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Spokane, WA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures at an independent level, using non-ionizing, high-frequency ultrasound to aid in diagnosis. The role emphasizes teamwork and alignment with the mission and values of Providence.

The ideal candidate will meet ARDMS RDMS prerequisites, hold or obtain certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and possess BLS.

DescriptionThe registeredUltrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training Completion of education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography Or
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience inassisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
• Experience with electronic medical databases, like Epic.
