Job summary

A leading health care organization in Spokane is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures and provide patient-focused care. The role requires independent judgment and certifications from recognized medical bodies. Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant education program.
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Sonography.
  • Experience in OB procedures is preferred.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level.
  • Apply ingenuity and initiative in ultrasound diagnosis.
  • Promote a team concept in delivering patient care.
  • Support OB procedures and utilize EMR tools as needed.

Description

The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

Required Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography or
  • Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in assisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
  • Experience with electronic medical databases, like Epic.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
