Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist, Maternal Fetal Medicine. You will perform specialized diagnostic ultrasound studies and support OB/GYN care, working closely with MFM specialists to detect anatomical abnormalities.

This onsite role requires pregnancy ultrasound expertise, weekends on rotation, and a commitment to patient safety and collaboration within a high-quality healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Ultrasound School.
• Minimum of 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and their controls.
• Understanding of equipment service procedures and safety policies.
• Ability to cover weekends on a rotation (~every six weeks).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge to aid in invasive fetal procedures with MFM specialists.

The Ultrasound Technologist, Maternal Fetal Medicine is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.

The hours are 7:45am-4:15pm and this is an onsite position.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of approved Ultrasound School.
• A minimum of 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, their function and operation of each control.
• Understanding of equipment and computer systems as well as the procedures for equipment service.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of safety, infection, and disaster policy and procedures, including implementation of patient care in cases of an emergency situation.
• Ability to cover weekends on a rotation basis (roughly once every six weeks).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge to aid in invasive fetal procedures with MFM specialists.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Nuchal Translucency Certification.
