Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist responsible for performing specialized diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assist clinicians in detecting anatomical abnormalities. You will work closely with medical staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved ultrasound program with strong communication and computer skills, capable of delivering high-quality imaging in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in ultrasound.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (RDMS) or Sonography Certification (ARRT, S) or Registered Vascular Specialist Certification (CCI, RVS)
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position
