Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Breast Ultrasound Technologist to perform specialized imaging in Breast Care. The role requires ARDMS certification, a graduate from an approved ultrasound program, and CPR certification.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of allied health training and strong communication skills. Eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Ultrasound Technologist positions on Day or Evening shifts when offer accepted by Oct 22, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized breast ultrasound procedures using high frequency sound waves to assist in detecting breast abnormalities.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during imaging sessions.

The Breast Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Breast Care utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities of the breast.

Eligible for up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Ultrasound Technologist positions on the Day or Evening shift who accept a job offer on or before October 22, 2026

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
• A.R.D.M.S registered.
• A minimum of 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
• Certified in Breast within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to do CPR.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification or Breast Sonography Certification within 6 months of entering position.
• Maintains 30 CEU Credits within a three year period.

Contacts:

• Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients, and visitors.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
