Job summary

Altru Health in Grand Forks, ND seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general and vascular ultrasound exams, ensuring orders are complete and images are properly archived in PACS. This role emphasizes patient safety, comfort and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or RVT or Sonographer ARRT Temporary license accepted prior to start.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams.
• Ensures written physician order is received prior to exam and collects pertinent information.
• Reviews exams on PACS for quality and completeness.
• Completes paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation.
• Maintains the room, cleans equipment, and deletes exams from the machine daily.
• Prioritizes patient safety and comfort during transport, positioning and imaging.
• Performs other duties to meet department needs.
