RadNet in Poway, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with biopsies. You will monitor patient well-being, protect PHI and medications, and uphold professional standards in a busy radiology setting.

Applicants should have completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with a diploma, passed the SPI exam, and hold ARDMS certifications or be Registry Eligible; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• SPI exam passed.
• ARDMS certifications current or Registry Eligible preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures per department policies and all regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation and operate related equipment.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or problems.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
• Safeguard on-site medications per policies and legal requirements.
• Protect company property and patient financial information on site or portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities in all interactions.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
