Job summary

RadNet is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist in Bakersfield, CA to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations and assist radiologists with biopsies as needed. You will monitor patient well-being and ensure safety of patient information and property in a fast-paced radiology setting.

Applicants should have completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, passed the SPI exam, and hold ARDMS certifications or be eligible. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedures, complying with all regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand methods used to generate ultrasound data and operation of instruments for detection, display, and storage of acoustic information.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and take appropriate action if discomfort or problems arise.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
