Job summary

Children’s Hospital of Orange County seeks an Ultrasound Technologist II to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and calibrate equipment. You will process images and coordinate patient care with imaging and other services, including maintaining records and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in outpatient and/or acute care ultrasound with 6 months in a pediatric setting.
  • Education: Graduate from an approved Sonography program.
  • Licensure: ARDMS registration and BLS certification required; pediatrics preferred.

Work Location: Orange, California. Work Shift: Evening – 10hrs (United States of America).

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist II performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures; calibrates and operates ultrasound equipment. Processes images and coordinates patient care with other patient services. Maintains patient records, keeps track of inventory, orders supplies and maintains proper working order of equipment. Will focus on infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.

Pay Range
  • Minimum: $45.72
  • Midpoint: $60.58
  • Maximum: $75.43
Experience
  • Required: Minimum one (1) year of outpatient and/or acute care Ultrasound Technologist experience with six (6) months in a pediatric setting.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of acute care Ultrasound Technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.
Education
  • Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Sonography.

Licensure
  • Required: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered in one or more specialties; Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred: Advance certification for Pediatrics and/or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT) a plus.
