Qualifications

• Current ARDMS Abdomen and OB/GYN certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of accredited Ultrasound Tech program or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year acute care hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and records diagnostic ultrasound procedures under general supervision.
• Obtains information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, and fetal development from ultrasound studies.
• Ensures ultrasound tests are of diagnostic quality and records results.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort during procedures.
