Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, obstetrical and gynecological exams with some vascular work. You will interact daily with patients and healthcare teams, select appropriate equipment, and assist physicians during invasive procedures.

The role involves image capture, preliminary interpretation coordination with radiologists, and training of residents and students. Strong infection control and documentation are essential.

Formación

• Education: Vocational/Technical training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Associate's preferred.
• ARDMS certification in Abdominal and/or OB/GYN specialties.
• 0–1 year related experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews charts, selects appropriate equipment and transducers for tests as ordered.
• Interviews patients, explains procedures, positions patient, and allays apprehensions.
• Assists physicians during sterile invasive procedures (amniocenteses, cyst punctures, thoracenteses, biopsies).
• Records images on PACS and provides images on film/paper when needed; may convey preliminary interpretation after discussion with radiologist.
• Performs high level disinfection of ultrasound transducers and maintains infection control.
• Assists in training residents, staff and student sonographers; handles clerical tasks and scheduling.
