Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological and some vascular exams, interfacing daily with patients and staff to ensure accurate imaging and timely results. You will review charts, select equipment, position patients and document findings in the PACS system.

The requirements include vocational or technical training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, an associate degree preferred, ARDMS certification, BLS, and experience with

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
• Associate’s degree in Ultrasound preferred.
• Registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required, and Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews charts, selects equipment and transducers for tests; interviews patients and positions them correctly.
• Records images on PACS and provides preliminary interpretation; may convey results to physician after radiologist discussion.
• Performs high level disinfection of ultrasound transducers; follows infection control procedures.
