Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform abdominal, obstetrical and gynecological exams, with some vascular work. You will interact daily with patients and other medical staff, ensuring accurate imaging and patient comfort.

The role involves assisting physicians during invasive procedures, documenting images, and providing preliminary interpretations after coordination with radiology. Training of residents and students is also expected.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic Medical Sonography training required.
• ARDMS certification in Abdominal and/or OB/GYN specialties.
• 0-1 years of related work experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with computer systems including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures across abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological and some vascular exams.
• Interview patients, explain procedures and position patients accordingly.
• Assist physicians during sterile invasive procedures and record images on PACS.
• Provide preliminary interpretations in daily logbook and discuss with radiologist.
• Train residents, staff and student sonographers.
