Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Blue Springs, MO, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II for a part-time role (Days, 10-hour shifts from 6:00am to 4:30pm) at St Mary’s Medical Center. You will perform advanced ultrasound services, produce high-quality images, and contribute to diagnostic imaging with collaboration from radiologists.

The ideal candidate will hold ARDMS/ARRT certifications or equivalent within 90 days, possess BCLS, and have proficiency with imaging equipment.

Qualifications

• RVT/ARDMS, RVS/CCI or VS/ARRT certification required within 90 days of hire.
• In addition requires ARDMS certification in Abdomen, Breast or OB-GYN.
• Graduate from an accredited vascular ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
• Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Current experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage more complex patient cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored imaging plans and treatment strategies.
• Operate ultrasound machines to produce real-time images of organs, tissues, and blood flow; select imaging techniques and settings for clear images.
• Interpret ultrasound images in real-time and communicate findings to radiologists or referring physicians.
• Proficient in advanced imaging techniques and procedures such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound or ultrasound-guided biopsies, aspirations, injections, thoracentesis, and paracentesis.
• Perform a wider range of ultrasound exams including obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, abdominal, cardiac, or musculoskeletal studies.
