Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations in inpatient and outpatient settings under the direction of a Radiologist.

Responsibilities include acquiring high-quality images, documenting data, and assisting with interventional procedures while following department policies. Requires ARDMS certification within 1 year and at least 1 year of ultrasound experience; the role is on-call with evenings and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of diagnostic ultrasound experience under physician supervision.
• Knowledge of physics and instrumentation for ARDMS exams.
• Ability to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound techniques and examinations per patient age and standards.
• Gather clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Complete records, paperwork, and billings promptly.
• Position and transfer patients; assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and send exams to PACS; assist with ultrasound-guided procedures.
