Job summary

Granville Health System in Oxford, NC seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts. You will review orders, determine appropriate protocols, and ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnoses while documenting procedures in the EMR.

Ideal candidates are patient-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Current ARDMS certification (or registry eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire).
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts exams.
• Review patient history and orders to determine imaging protocol.
• Ensure high-quality images meet diagnostic criteria.
• Maintain accurate records in EMR.
• Maintain and clean equipment for safe operation.
• Communicate with patients, providing reassurance and instruction.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and healthcare professionals.
