Job summary

Cook County Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general and arterial ultrasound examinations. You will operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images for Radiologist interpretation, while communicating with staff and patients to ensure accurate history and comfort.

The role requires ARDMS/ARRT credentials and at least 1 year of ultrasound experience, with Doppler and color imaging proficiency and strong patient-care skills.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be ARDMS certified or eligible or ARRT registered, with certification within one year of starting.
• At least 1 year of full-time ultrasound imaging experience.
• Training in Doppler and color imaging and understanding anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform examinations.
• Obtain and record patient history and prepare/position patients.
• Provide accurate technical findings summaries to Radiologists.
• Transmit images via PACS and ensure timely documentation in Radnet.
