Carle Health is seeking an Ultrasound professional to perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations under the direction of a radiologist. You will prepare patients, adapt procedures for diagnostic impact, and ensure high-quality imaging for radiologist review.

Qualified candidates hold ARDMS certification with BLS within 30 days and RVT-VT within 1 year, along with an appropriate radiologic technology education.

Qualifications

• Certification in ARDMS within 1 year
• BLS certification within 30 days
• RVT-VT certification within 1 year
• Educational background in radiologic technology related field

Responsibilities

• Exhibits competency in performing ultrasound procedures
• Images required views demonstrating anatomy and pathology
• Obtains accurate histories and explains rationale for procedure to patients/families
• Enhances image quality through proper transducers and machine settings
• Evaluates finished images and submits to radiologists
• Maintains clean work area and stocks supplies
• Assists radiologist with biopsy and invasive procedures
• Documents area of concern and patient information in HIS system
