Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center in Vermont is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform ultrasound imaging exams under radiologist supervision, with proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and patient care.

Must have ARDMS certification or eligible (certification within the first year) and BLS, plus ongoing CE credits. Experience across abdomen, OB/GYN, pelvic, transvaginal, breast, carotid/venous and small parts is preferred. Uses RIS/PACS/HIS to record and disseminate results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program if hired after 2002.
• ARDMS certified or eligible and must become certified within first year.
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
• Must obtain 30 ECE credits in three years for recertification.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging examinations under supervision.
• Recognize cross-sectional anatomy.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Record and disseminate patient results using RIS/PACS and HIS.
