Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (Day Shift) for the Northeast Emergency Department. The role involves independent operation of sonographic equipment, performing diagnostic exams, and communicating results to the Radiologist.

The incumbent assists with invasive procedures in the acute care setting, upholds safety, quality, and department standards. Minimum Education: None; RDMS and BLS are required or must be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification required or eligible; must obtain within one year of employment.
• BLS certification or certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment independently and perform diagnostic exams.
• Communicate results of examinations to Radiologist and physician teams.
• Assist Radiologist with invasive procedures in the acute care setting.
• Maintain equipment and department standards; ensure patient safety and comfort.
