Job summary

Lexington Health Northeast Emergency Department is expanding with a new location coming Spring 2027 in Columbia, SC. This full-time, night shift Ultrasound Tech role (7:00pm–7:00am) includes a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and opportunities to work closely with Radiology and other care teams in a high-acuity setting.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or registry-eligible with an RDMS within one year, valid BLS, and a commitment to CME requirements.

Qualifications

• RDMS certification required or registry-eligible and RDMS within one year of hire.
• BLS certification or certification within 3 months of employment.
• Continued CME requirements for specialty areas.
• Must have active licensure and be registry-eligible for RDMS.
• Associate’s Degree in Allied Health or Bachelor’s Degree with formal Diagnostic Medical Program if no RDMS at hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate sonographic equipment independently and perform diagnostic ultrasounds.
• Assist Radiologist with invasive procedures in the acute care setting.
• Communicate results clearly to physicians and patients.
• Maintain patient safety and equipment functionality.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure efficient patient care.
