Job summary

RadNet seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and assist radiologists with biopsies in a patient-focused imaging center. You will monitor patient well-being, safeguard patient information, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during exams.

Applicants should have completed an Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma, passed the SPI, and hold ARDMS certification or registry eligibility with a BLS credential.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• SPI exam passed.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures, complying with all regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand methods used to generate ultrasound data and the operation of instruments that detect and store acoustic information.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or problems and take action.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards on-site medications per company policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate respect for company property and patient information on-site or on portals.
• Interact professionally with patients and coworkers and respect boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
