Our team includes specialists from NCI–designated Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Desai Sethi Urology Institute, and top neurology and neurosurgery programs.

The Department of Radiology at SoLé Mia offers an exciting opportunity for a full-time Ultrasound Technologist 3 in Mammography. The role involves performing all ultrasound and vascular procedures independently, utilizing advanced ultrasonic equipment, and ensuring high diagnostic quality.

Core Job Functions

1. Perform routine and specialty sonographic procedures of varying difficulty.
2. Operate complex ultrasound equipment including 2-D, 3-D, color, power, and spectral Doppler modalities.
3. Maintain diagnostic quality of scans through technical expertise and knowledge of disease processes.
4. Provide preliminary interpretations and alert physicians to areas of suspected pathology.
5. Verify patient information and gather clinical data for procedures.
6. Assist physicians with invasive and special procedures.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing questions.
8. Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform quality assurance, and report malfunctions.
9. Train colleagues, students, and visiting personnel.
10. Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure safety standards.
11. Complete documentation, enter reports, and manage procedures electronically.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in relevant specialty.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Skills in detailed, accurate work, organization, and prioritization.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
• Availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
