Position Overview

The University of Miami UHealth – Department of Radiology at SoLé Mia seeks a full-time MRI Technologist 2 to perform intricate MRI procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images. The role requires independent judgment, technical skill, and responsibility for procedures and equipment.

Core Job Functions

• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
• Perform diagnostic imaging studies under supervision.
• Assist in training new physicians and developing protocols.
• Monitor ultrasound procedures and supplies, demonstrate equipment, ensure order appropriateness, verify patient identity, and obtain necessary consents.
• Operate MRI scanners following safety protocols, integrate diagnostic data, and evaluate scan quality.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines and maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist with patient positioning, contrast injections, and imaging procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to policies.

Qualifications

Core Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging Program
• Valid Florida Radiographer License
• ARRT registration in primary modality
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
