The Department of Radiology at UHealth – SoLé Mia has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Ultrasound Technologist 2 - Mammography.

Core Job Functions

1. Performs routine and specialty sonographic procedures involving all levels of difficulty.
2. Operates Ultrasound scanners and related equipment under the supervision of a Radiologist, following safety procedures.
3. Ensures high diagnostic quality of scans through technical expertise and knowledge of disease processes.
4. Makes preliminary interpretations and alerts physicians to areas of suspected pathology.
5. Checks patient’s chart, acquires clinical information, and assists in invasive procedures.
6. Provides patient care, explains procedures, and answers questions.
7. Maintains and troubleshoots ultrasound equipment, performs quality assurance.
8. Performs portable bedside examinations.
9. Trains co-workers, students, and visitors.
10. Participates in quality improvement activities.
11. Follows safety and infection control standards.
12. Completes documentation and performs computer functions related to reports and procedures.
