IU Health Fort Wayne is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist to perform a broad range of diagnostic imaging within a hospital setting, including general and vascular studies.
The role requires 0-3 years of experience, BLS certification, and ARDMS/ARRT/CCI credentials (or eligibility). The position is 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week) at Fort Wayne, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM, plus overnight call coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and rotating holidays.
This is a hospital-based ultrasound position providing a variety of diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative patient care environment.
General and Vascular sonography experience preferred.
The selected candidate will perform general ultrasound examinations and support a wide range of patient populations across the hospital.

These rotations are designed to provide exposure to a wide variety of procedures and patient populations that may not currently be available in local Fort Wayne outpatient settings.
Most positions will participate in a rotating holiday schedule.

Provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound to generate images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. Responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and makes necessary adjustments to capture the best possible images. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and adjusting equipment as needed. Familiar with current scan protocols. Maintains compliance with high level disinfection practices. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed. Possesses familiarity with ultrasound contrast indications and administration practices. Provides intraoperative ultrasound as requested.
