Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist Lead for a part-time night shift (Saturday and Sunday, 24 hours total) in Reston, VA. The role requires RDMS licensure and BCLS certification, with responsibility for performing established ultrasound procedures and ensuring patient safety across age groups.

Qualifications include graduate of an AMA-approved Ultrasound Technology program or equivalent, plus demonstrated experience in ultrasound procedures and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Ultrasound Technology program approved by the AMA's Council on Medical Education or equivalent education and training.
• RDMS licensure.
• BCLS certification.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist Lead is responsible for performing all established ultrasound procedures. Considers age-related factors in care, treatment, education and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. Perform procedures safely and observes universal precautions at all times. Pursues professional development for the continual improvement of patient care. Performs related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Graduate of program in Ultrasound Technology approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or documented equivalent education, experience, and training.
• Licensure: RDMS
• Certification: BCLS Required
• Experience: Ability perform to Ultrasound procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
