Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform a variety of sonographic procedures, operate imaging equipment, and prepare films for radiologist review. You will collaborate closely with physicians and staff to support diagnostic imaging and patient care.

The role requires ARDMS RVT or ARDMS Abdomen certification, ARRT vascular registration, and a completed ultrasound program. Emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a vocational program from a school of Ultrasound.
• Ability to perform all sonographic procedures according to established guidelines utilizing appropriate equipment.

• Perform sonographic procedures per established guidelines.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and develop/organize films for radiologist review.
• Maintain professional rapport with colleagues, other departments, and Medical Staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures, for the purpose of detecting pathology, evaluating function, or as a means of assisting in the provision of treatment. Operates all the equipment utilized within the department, and develops and organizes films for presentation to the radiologist. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow co-workers, other departments, and Medical Staff. Works under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

1. Successful completion of a vocational program from a school of Ultrasound.

Experience:

1. Ability to perform all sonographic procedures according to established guidelines utilizing

appropriate equipment.

Other Qualifications

1. Registered and certified with the A.R.D.M.S: in OB or Abdomen.

2. Must be registered in ARDMS RVT or ARRT – Vascular (6 months Grace)

3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
