Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, VA, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to prepare patients, collect information for exams, and perform sonographic procedures following established protocols.

Qualification requirements include obtaining Basic Cardiac Life Support within 90 days, RDMS within 6 months, and a general certification within 6 months. No travel is required and the role is performed on site.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you would prepare patients, collect relevant information for completion of procedures, and perform sonographic exams following defined protocols. Throughout the procedure, you would be observant of patients’ conditions, and notify physician of unusual occurrences.

• Compile appropriate records to expedite results.
• You will analyze the quality of images and processes as required.
• Completes data sheet containing pertinent patient information following exam prior to forwarding to radiologist.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Certificate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
